Server compatibility

Universal Agent is only compatibile with Liquit Workspace Servers that run version 4.0 or later.

Liquit Universal Agent brings Windows and macOS into a single workflow. That means transparent and seamless application management for all applications across thousands of users demanding countless configurations. Your IT team continues to manage all applications for macOS and Windows at the same time with our Universal Agent. Your end-users still access their applications seamlessly and without disruption.

  • Can be installed on modern macOS and Windows devices
  • Install and launch native applications dmg, zip, tar, pkg, tar.gz and mpkg on macOS devices
  • Install and launch native applications msi, msix, appx, exe on Windows devices
  • Filter and context cross platform

Liquit Universal Agent is required to install and launch local applications on the device that is used to access the Workspace. Only a subset of the features supported by Liquit Workspace is available for devices that do not have the agent installed.

Liquit Universal Agent is an replacement for the Liquit Workspace Agent. And supports many new features that will not be available for the Liquit Workspace Agent. Please click here for more information.

Configuration

Liquit Universal Agent no longer uses the Agent.xml file that was used by the Liquit Workspace Agent, Universal Agent uses a new Agent.json configuration file which is compatibile on all platforms. See Agent Configuration for the options available.

Upgrade from the Workspace Agent

The new Liquit Universal Agent installer supports upgrading from the Workspace Agent to the new Universal Agent. Please read the corrosponding documentation on how the Upgrade Workspace Agent works and how the behavior can be modified that suits your deployment method.

Offline Mode

Offline access to your applications allows you to use Liquit Workspace without having access to the Liquit environment. Offline Support can be configured per application, so applications that have this configured will be available without Internet connection. Universal Agent will run in a limited interface when in Offline mode, so only applications can be installed and started and the user is not allowed to change any personal settings.
