Application Workspace lets you configure multiple mail servers. For example, you can use a mail server to send messages after a scheduled task has run.
Overview screen
Test - Opens the Test email dialog box where you can specify a target email address where you want to send a test email.
Priority - When trying to send an email Application Workspace will first use the mail server that has the lowest number in the priority field. If not available, it will continue with the next server in the list that has a higher priority.
Settings screen
SMTP
Server - The address of the mail server.
Secure - Whether or not a secure connection is required.
Port - The port used for the connection.
From - The mail address used to send the emails.
Authentication section
Here you can choose whether or not authentication is required for this mail server and configure the username and password for it.
Microsoft Graph
Client ID - The Application ID corresponding to your Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) app registration.
Tenant ID - An entity that typically encompasses an organization within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Client secret - The Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) app registration secret.
From - The mail address used to send the emails.
In Microsoft Entra ID, you need to add the Mail.Send permission to your app registration. For more details, see How to configure the Microsoft Graph mail server.
Auditing screen
View a comprehensive log of changes to this mail server, displaying the identity behind each modification.
This screen is available only if the auditing is enabled in the Database Event Collector. For more information, see Auditing.
