SmartFTP Client

It allows you to transfer files between your local computer and a server on the Internet. With its many basic and advanced Features SmartFTP also offers secure, reliable and efficient transfers that make it a powerful tool.

Deploying SmartFTP with a purchased license via Liquit Setup Commander

If you want to deploy SmartFTP with a purchased license, there are some extra steps you have to take.

  1. Create a license file on your test machine. Ensure you have the serial ready, which you received in the e-mail after buying SmartFTP.
  2. Install the latest SmartFTP Client on a test machine or VM by double-clicking the MSI and accepting the default values.
  3. Start SmartFTP. In the dialog box that opens select Activate with serial and enter your serial:

  1. Close SmartFTP.
  2. Navigate to the C:\Users\\[username]\AppData\Local\SmartFTP\Client 2.0\ directory.
  3. Copy the file License.xml to a directory outside the test machine.
  4. Open Liquit Setup Commander and navigate to the SmartFTP directory. Then, right-click the executable and choose ‘Create Application’.
  5. The SmartFTP Client Configuration Wizard pops up. Select Check this if you want to add a SMARTFTP license key file option and add the license file you created at step 1.

Your license file will now be copied to your target machine(s) when you deploy SmartFTP.
