You can use either VMware Workstation, Hyper-V or VirtualBox for your Repackaging work.
Do not include the following devices in the hardware configuration
- USB
- Printer(s)
- Sound Card
- CD-ROM
- Floppy
in your hardware configuration. Install a clean version of Windows 10 x86 or Windows 10 x64. Which Feature Update you pick depends for which platform you want to repackage for. Then please make sure to:
- Add the .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
- Add the .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services
- Install Liquit Setup Commander and activate your license
- Set the Setup Store directory to a file share (Options, Setup Store)
- Install Spoon Studio with your license (optional)
- Install Flexera AdminStudio Remote Repackager (optional)
- Install VMware ThinApp with your license (optional)
- Install App-V5 Sequencer and PowerShell 3.0 (optional)
- Install the MSIX Packaging Tool, Package Support Framework, MSIX Core 1.1 and Hyper-V Module for Windows PowerShell (optional)
- Install all Windows Updates
- Configure Windows Update to “Never check for updates”
- Don’t install antivirus software or malware protection
- Disable the Windows Search service
- Enable local administrator account and remove other accounts from the computer
- Folder Options, Enable show hidden files and folders
- Folder Options, Remove tick from Hide protected operating system files
